Kodiak Networks and WFM Partner to Deliver Solutions to West Africa
July 2, 2005

Kodiak Networks and Westminster Finance & Marketing (WFM), announced a reseller agreement for the deployment of the Kodiak Real-time Exchange (RTX) System throughout West Africa.

The companies said the partnership promotes the delivery of push-to-talk (PTT) and advanced voice services (AVS) applications to African network operators seeking to increase wireless usage, revenue and market share.

Under the terms of the pact, Kodiak and WFM will collaborate on systems integration, joint marketing, training and ongoing support of Kodiak's full product portfolio, including the Kodiak RTX System and AVS applications. WFM will also support Kodiak SIMpower, a thin client that enables AVS functionality on existing GSM handsets. The voice applications include instant calling (PTT), instant group conferencing, real-time availability/presence updates and instant voice messaging.

“We are pleased to be working closely with Kodiak to deliver these advanced wireless systems and innovative voice applications to African operators,” said Dr. Felix Kwame Semavor, Ph.D., president and CEO, Westminster Finance and Marketing. “The overall functionality of the Kodiak RTX System and broad range of PTT-enabled handsets allows us to quickly deploy these solutions to operators, advancing the time frame in which they can meet market demand for these new services.”

“Our partnership with WFM signals a major milestone for Kodiak, as it expands the distribution of the Kodiak RTX System throughout West Africa,” said F. Craig Farrill, president and CEO, Kodiak Networks. “The Kodiak RTX System performance, innovative voice applications and handset client offerings are well positioned to meet the wireless needs of these nations and their growing economies. Teaming with WFM, we look forward to enabling African wireless carriers to rapidly deploy reliable voice services to businesses, government sector and many first-time wireless customers.”
