The Kodiak Connected Portfolio is comprised of mobile solutions targeted at business and consumer segments; an integrated mobile applications suite; and client-based and clientless user interfaces for Open OS and embedded devices. The Portfolio components are based on the Kodiak Real Time Exchange® (RTX), a flexible, standards-based, multi-generational IMS-compliant platform, which easily scales from independent operators to multinational carriers utilizing 2G or 3G wireless networks.
Kodiak continues to lead the wireless industry with a variety of integrated and innovative mobile applications including Conferencing, Messaging, Presence and Contact Management, and Push to Talk (PTT).
CONFERENCING
Kodiak Mobile Conference – Provides immediate dial-out mobile conferencing, including one-touch mobile call origination from the contact list. Business colleagues, consumers and social networking groups can instantly join a conference call from any combination of wireless, wireline or VoIP phones.
Kodiak Scheduled Conference – Allows users to schedule conference calls directly from their mobile handset. Convenient auto dial-out and auto-SMS reminders are sent to attendees at the conference start time. Participants can join or rejoin the conference with a single click and are instantly auto-authenticated without personal identification numbers (PIN). All participants can see who is on the conference call. Users can also schedule conference calls from the Web and save to Microsoft Outlook.
Kodiak Meet-me Conference – Provides users with dial-in conferencing that is optimized for the mobile environment. Call participants can join a conference from any phone and on any network. Users also have the option of pay-per-use, without having the service pre-provisioned.
MESSAGING
Kodiak Visual Voice SMS – Allows instant voice messaging to handset-based wireless contact and group lists. Customers can easily retrieve and replay messages via a visual interface and reply to originator or reply to all recipients directly from the message. Kodiak also offers a client-less version of this application, which utilizes code dialing and entering individual telephone numbers to create and send voice messages.
Kodiak Group SMS – Provides users with a convenient way to send a single text message to a group, simultaneously. Group text messages can be sent to any handset, on any wireless network. Message recipients, using any handset can easily reply to the message originator or reply to all recipients, directly from the text message.
PRESENCE AND CONTACT MANAGEMENT
Kodiak Group Manager – Provides end users with the ability to create group lists using a carrier-hosted Web page or their phone’s mobile Internet or SMS interface. All group members can save the group name on their handset to initiate mobile conference calls or send group voice or text messages.
Kodiak Quick Reach – Enables the call originator to set-up a contact profile consisting of multiple phone numbers for the same person and to ring these numbers simultaneously; once a phone answers, the other lines immediately drop.
Kodiak PTT Presence Manager – Indicates real-time user availability to receive wireless calls. Presence states include “available,” “do not disturb,” “offline” and “silent mode/ringer off.” This user-driven feature decreases “telephone tag” and ensures privacy when a recipient is in a meeting or away for the day.
Kodiak PTT Contact Manager – Subscribers can instantly create, modify and delete individual contacts, groups, and group members, directly on their handset or through a web interface. Contact information is saved on the operator network, and can be easily restored in the event of a new, lost or stolen handset.
PUSH TO TALK
Kodiak Push to Talk – Enables instant calling with individuals and groups at a press of a button. Leveraging the coverage and quality of service (QoS) already available on existing wireless voice networks, Kodiak PTT calls have the fastest combined call set-up time and lowest voice latency in the industry.
Kodiak Voice Notes® – Allows users to leave instant voicemail messages from Kodiak-enabled phones to contacts/groups with wireless or wireline phones. Wireless users are able to record their message and have it immediately deposited into a contact or group member’s network voicemail box without having to wait for voicemail greetings or ringing the recipient’s phone.
